Scoopin' the Poop + Jack Johnson = Wisdom

So, once upon a time i scooped my dog's poop. Exciting, no? What the 110 degree weather doesn't appeal to you? Or the stinkyness? Or the flies? Yeah, me either.

In fact, the only way i even survive any of these scoopin'-poopin'-stinkin' hot- with flies on the side- adventures, is by listening to my iPod. A lot of the time i kinda zone out of whatever is playing and think my own thoughts, so the music is just background noise. However, Jack Johnson always deserves undivided attention....Not really but this time he happened to catch me in between thoughts. And this is what he had to say to me:

Those last 3 lines caught me by surprise. It was one of those, Eureka!! moments. Except all i said was...nothing...i was still thinking to myself. Psh, i never talk to myself...

Anyways. I think Jacky boy really had something going there. No one knows who they are because they are too caught up comparing themselves to everyone else. I think that is one of the biggest problems with this generation. Trust me, i do it way too much, too. YOU aren't THEM. You are an individual. You are unique. You have different talents. You have a different look. You have different opinions. You have a different personality. YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT DESTINY. That sounds sooo cheesy but i'm leavin' it because it's true. Yeah, it's good to try to be a BETTER person because of someone else, but you don't have to be a DIFFERENT person to be like someone else. You'll never be them, and they could never be you. Sure, you probably have a lot of things in common with someone, but it doesn't mean you love it the same way. Two people could both play basketball, for instance, and they could both be good! But, Girl A could be way better at defending than Girl B. However, Girl B could shoot 3's all night long and never miss. They are both good. They both play basketball. But they aren't good in the same way, and they have different styles and techniques to how they play. No one can play the exact same way. Like in this game of life, no one can play the same way. But we are ALL good anyways.
